Veena O' Sullivan, Tearfund International Director, writes:
"God is in Afghanistan. And through our partners, Tearfund is still there. Our call is to follow Jesus where the need is greatest. We can't tell you where we are working or the names of the people we are supporting, as we would be putting lives at risk. But we are determined to demonstrate God's unconditional love no matter what the circumstances."
Corine Verdoold, who leads Tearfund's work in Afghanistan has recorded a video message. She describes the terrifying situation on the ground and asks for specific prayer for the country which has suffered so much.
